Grey’s Anatomy- Season 1 Episode 2

The First Cut is the Deepest

Meredith starts a search for roommates and a bunch of her fellow interns immediately start approaching her, hoping they can stay at her place. Meredith, however, wants roommates who she hardly knows, complete strangers in fact, so that she doesnt have to see the people she works with everyday at home as well.

She bumps into Derek at the elevator, and firmly tells him that she is “drawing a line” and doesn’t want to go out with him because he is her boss. After a tense moment, she gives up, dropping her folders on the floor and strats making out with him. Clearly, she couldn’t keep her hands off him (Who could?).

Sacred Heart’s latest patient- a rape victim- causes a stir in the hospital. Lizzie, instructed to work in the Pit, comes across a Chinese woman who doesn’t speak english, but who clearly has something very important to tell. George and Meredith relive some stress by looking at babies- or at least she did until she sees one of the babies turning blue.

What does the Chinese woman want? Does Meredith take it upon herself to save the baby even though she does not have the authority over Pediatrics? Can she draw a line and establish boundries between her coworkers and herself? Do they end up catching the rapist?

Find the answers to all these questions, and even to those that are not listed here in the second episode of season one. Hospitals are never drama-free and this is one drama-fuelled epsiode full of passion, empathy and emotion.
